Eco-Citizen Katsina is a climate-smart development initiative created to activate Statewide Eco-Citizens toaccelerate community-based low carbon impactinvestment programs that profit the people and the planet.

This initiative is designed to deploy Real-timeIntergenerational Green Growth Mechanisms that drive net-zero climate positive opportunities through people-centricmarket driven eco-policy impact platforms to guarantee thefirst bankable Circular Economy and Fiscal EfficiencyStrategy for Sustainable Development in Katsina State.

Eco-Citizen Katsina prioritizes and amplifies citizen-driven climate action as the most scalable approach to ensuring low-carbon, resource efficient and socially inclusive economies.

The program prioritizes health of the planet and of the people, and regards these as interlinked. And brings attention to the fact that the green economy is interlinked with circular economy, encouraging the need for a shift to reduce consumption of natural resources to sustainable levels. As an inclusive economy incorporates and embraces modern models of economic development whose objective is to create prosperity within planetary boundaries.

Environmental responsiveness involves respecting the intrinsic value of nature and minimizing damage to the ecosystem.
Resource efficiency involves the use of fewer resources to conserve energy and the environment.
Community and Cultural Sensitivity involve recognizing and accepting the unique cultural values that each community contributes towards development.

Eco-Citizen Katsina is a Green4Ward Initiative powered by a Social Action Sustainable Impact Mobility Marketplace Strategy that Engages, Educates, Empowers and Employs over 340,000 young, resourceful Eco-Citizens across 34LGAs with Eco-Marshall jobs. Incentivizing 3.4m eco-volunteers, awarding 34,000 Eco-nnovation grants, launching 34 Eco-tourism & heritage festivals, while securing rural energy efficiency solutions through sustainability investment partnerships that promote Climate Justice, ensure Climate Finance and Ecosystem Conservation in Katsina State.
